About Us

In the Winter of 1948 a meeting was called for local residents interested in forming a cricket club in Leopold. The meeting was attended by Eric Dohnt, Reg Dendle, Mac Mason, J & L Davies, Harry Howard and Keith Filbay in the garage of Keith Filbay. 

Then on August 16th 1948 the first meeting was held and the Leopold Cricket Club was formed.

Treasurer - Mac Mason

Property Steward - Harry Howard

Then in the Season to follow Leopold was dominant and ended up winning the 1948/49 Premiership. 

In 1955 the Leopold Cricket Club was invited to be part of the Geelong Cricket Association (GCA) and the Season of 1955-56 saw the LCC join the GCA where they are currently still competing.

- Creating and maintaining a healthy family atmosphere in and around the club throughout the cricket season;

- Creating and maintaining a club which new members consistently want to join;

- Producing, reviewing and adjusting club priorities, which coincide with the "Coaching for Success" three year plan;

- Producing, reviewing and adjusting the coaching plans to support team plans.
